GPU-Z update adds support for AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE and Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti
GPU-Z update points towards two upcoming graphics card launches
TechPowerUp has released version 2.65.0 of GPU-Z, adding support for two forthcoming mid-range graphics cards. Starting today, GPU-Z now supports AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB. Strangely, this GPU’s 8GB version has not been listed.
AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE is a cut-down version of AMD’s existing Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT GPU models. The GPU features 12GB of VRAM and fewer active compute units than AMD’s other RX 9070 series GPUs. This GPU will sit between AMD’s RX 9060 XT and RX 9070, and will likely be an RTX 4060 Ti competitor.
Recent leaks claim that Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti will launch next week. Rumour has it that the GPU will be available in 8GB and 16GB forms with MSRP pricing of $379 and $429, respectively.
Currently, it’s unknown if AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE will be a China-only GPU model or if it will be a graphics card with worldwide availability. If AMD can release this GPU worldwide with ample retail stock, it could be a strong seller. So far, AMD’s RDNA 4 graphics cards have delivered strong value. If AMD can continues this trend, they should achieve strong market share gains this year.
