New Sapphire Flagship? Sapphire RX 9070 XT White Nitro+ Phantom Link unveiled
Sapphire’s Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ White Phantom Link has been unboxed in China
It appears Sapphire is preparing to refresh its Radeon RX 9070 XT lineup with a wave of new “Phantom Link” models. Earlier this week, the RX 9070 XT Phantom Link was unveiled. Now, a new white version of this GPU has been showcased. Meet the Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ White Phantom Link from Sapphire.
This new white graphics card will be a perfect match for Sapphire’s new Pure series of white motherboards. However, it is worth noting that Sapphire’s Pure X870A WIFI 7 motherboard lack a BTF/Phantom Link power connector.
Aesthetically, this new GPU looks very similar to Sapphire’s standard Nitro+ model, though the design on the GPU side differs. Sapphire didn’t just take their standard Nitro+ GPU and paint it white.
This new GPU can be powered using a “Phantom Link” (GC-HPWR) power connector or using a 12V-2×6 power connector. Since the Phantom Link connector can be removed, this GPU is compatible with both standard and BTF-style motherboards. Either way, users should be able to hide their GPU’s power cable and keep it out of sight.
Note that the existence of this GPU suggests that Sapphire is developing a BTF/Phantom Link motherboard.
Sapphire has not officially unveiled this GPU. The pricing and release date for this GPU are currently unknown. However, if we were to guess, we’d expect to see this GPU at CES and for it to launch shortly after.
