Nintendo Switch 2 UK pricing revealed!
Nintendo has officially revealed its UK pricing for the Switch 2
Nintendo’s next-generation Switch 2 console will become available on June 5th, and pre-orders are starting on April 8th. At launch, the console will be available in two forms. Form one will be a standalone system, and form two will be a bundle option that includes Mario Kart World. Shortly after the system’s reveal stream, Nintendo revealed the UK pricing for their Switch 2 console.
For the Switch 2 on its own, the system will cost £395.99 in the UK. If gamers want the system with Mario Kart World, they can pay £429.99. Sadly, the European pricing of the console is unknown to us at the time of writing. In the US, a standalone Switch 2 will cost $449.99, and the Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle will cost $499.99
Nintendo’s Switch 2 console contains some hefty upgrades over its predecessor. While Nintendo has not discussed the CPU/GPU inside the system, they have revealed some key details. For starters, the system will feature a 120Hz 1080p screen. Additionally, this screen will support HDR. This should allow games to appear sharper on Switch 2, and more vivid thanks to the screen’s HDR support. Note that the system uses a 7.9-inch LCD screen, not an OLED screen.
Nintendo’s Switch 2 will ship with new joy-con 2 controllers and a new docking system. This dock will feature a fan that enables enhanced cooling in docked mode. Furthermore, the system will support MicroSD Express cards for faster game loading times.
