Cooler Master plans to showcase a fanless/passive 1100W X SILENT PSU at CES 2024

Cooler Master plan to reveal a high wattage passive power supply at CES 2024 with X SILENT branding

At CES 2024, Cooler Master plans to showcase the most powerful fanless/passive power supply that we have ever seen with their 1100W X SILENT. Once again, Cooler Master plans to push the PSU market forward by creating units that their competitors cannot. This year we had their 1300W V1300 SFX Platinum, and next year we will have the X SILENT series.

FanlessTech have gotten an early glimpse at this new power supply from Cooler Master. Looking closely at this image we can see a 12VHPWR connector, a “USB Protocol” connector, and a “PMBUS” connector. We can also see that this power supply features large fin-dense heatsinks inside. It is also clear that much of the casing of this PSU is also used as a heatsink.

The French website Cowcotland has also gotten an early glimpse at this PSU as part of a tour of the company’s new Taipei headquarters. This video confirms that the 1100W X SILENT from Cooler Master uses heatpipes as part of the PSU’s heatsink design. This is something that we have not seen before within a mainstream power supply.

Currently, fanless/passive power supplies are not available with wattages higher than roughly 700W. Cooler Master plans to change this with their X Silent series. Expect to hear more about these power supplies at CES 2024.
