Amplitude Studio’s Humankind 4x strategy game receives its first gameplay trailer
Humankind will see players create custom avatars and use them to mould civilisations from the Neolithic era to the modern age, allowing gamers to mix and match between over 60 historical cultures that span from the Egyptians to the Romans and Khmer.Â
Combat-wise, the game at first seems like an alternative to Firaxis’ Civilization series, though it looks like the game’s combat system will be a lot more complex, with terrain height having an impact on combat as well as other factors. Science will also play a critical role in combat, as up-to-date combat technology will be critical to military success. Â
At the time of writing, Humankind appears to be a PC exclusive that is due to release sometime in 2020.Â
