Assetto Corsa Competizione is coming to Steam Early Access on September 12th

Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed that Assetto Corsa Competizione will release on Steam Early Access on September 12th, bringing the latest Blancpain GT series video game to life with high-quality simulations with official drivers, teams, cars and circuits.

With this release, Kunos moves from their purpose-built Assetto game engine to Unreal Engine 4, allowing the developer to deliver more realistic visuals while also expanding their hardware compatibility. With Assetto Corsa Competizione, Kunos plans to offer photorealistic weather conditions and offer top-quality driver animations using motion capture technology.

Following the game’s Early Access release, Competizione will receive monthly expansion updates that will introduce new cars, tracks and features. The full game is set to release sometime in early 2019, offering players a variety of single player and multiplayer game modes and scalability to allow both newcomers and racing pros to enjoy the game. Competitive players will also be able to enjoy special events, including an ultra-tough 24-hour race, which includes options for driver swaps in single player and multiplayer.

At this time, Kunos Simulazione doesn’t have an official price tag or PC system requirements. This data should be available on Steam within the next few weeks.
