EA reveals Bit Reactor’s Star Wars Zero Company

EA has revealed Star Wars Zero Company, a turn-based tactics title from former XCOM devs

EA and Bit Reactor have officially revealed Star Wars: Zero Company, a new turn-based tactics game set in the Star Wars Universe. Based on the game’s key art, the game likely has a Clone Wars Era setting.

Players will be able to recruit a team of “unconventional” operatives and deploy them on missions across the Star Wars galaxy. If that sounds a bit like XCOM, that makes sense. After all, Bit Reactor is made of devs who have previously worked on XCOM. Other games that the studio’s team have worked on include Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online.

Bit Reactor have been making this game in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. More details about the game are due to be revealed later this week at a Star Wars Celebration Japan on April 19th.

EA has confirmed that Zero Company is a single-player game. Furthermore, we should expect players to be able to field operatives of many styles. The game’s key art alone reveals many operative types. There is a Jedi, a Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian, and even a R-series droid.
