Monster Hunter Wilds’ latest patch packs new CPU/GPU optimisations
Monster Hunter Wilds now runs much faster on PC thanks to update 1.041
Capcom has released patch 1.041 for Monster Hunter Wilds, delivering long-promised optimisation updates to the game on PC and consoles. This update implements both CPU and GPU optimisations into the game, which means that all gamers should see performance benefits.
Specifically, new level of detail settings, optimised monster spawn processing, effects caching, and optimised rendering processes all work together to increase the game’s PC performance. When added to the game’s prior performance updates, Moster Hunter Wilds’ performance profile has been transformed on PC. That’s great news for all PC gamers.
During his testing of this new update, the YouTuber Daniel Owen has noted a 10% increase in average CPU performance over title update 4. GPU performance uplifts vary depending on our chosen graphical settings. At Ultra settings, today’s version of Monster Hunter Wilds is 20% faster than title update 3 on average (when GPU-limited). At the game’s lowest settings, average framerates are 26% faster than they were with title update 3.
System
– Reduced CPU/GPU processing and made adjustments to lower the load on the game.
– Added internal Levels of Detail (LOD) for 3D models, adjusting them to display optimal quality based on the situation to reduce GPU load.
– Optimized monster and endemic life spawn-time processing to reduce CPU load.
– Added effect caching to decrease CPU load when generating duplicate effects.
– Optimized rendering processes to reduce CPU/GPU load.
– Performed other minor adjustments to lower the overall load.– Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.014 release notes
With the game’s newest update, Monster Hunter Wilds now runs much faster than before on both PC and consoles. This means PC gamers can enjoy higher, more stable framerates. That’s good news for everyone who plays the game, and places the game in a stronger position as Capcom prepares the game’s first “large scale expansion”.
