Patch 1.1 brings over 1,800 fixes for STALKER 2

Patch 1.1 brings a wave of performance optimisations to STALKER 2

GSC Game World has released patch 1.1 for STALKER 2, the first major patch for the post-apocalyptic adventure game on PC and Xbox. This update contains over 1,800 fixes, significantly improving the game on both platforms. The game’s A-Life system has been improved, as have the game’s AI and performance.

In heavily populated areas of the game, STALKER 2’s PC performance has been greatly improved. Support for AMD’s FSR 3 Frame Generation technology has also been improved for Nvidia GPU users. Furthermore, the game now plays better on gamepads. Other fixes include fixes to quests, foliage, flickering issues, and changes to game audio.

Just before Christmas and New Year’s, we are ready to present Patch 1.1. It is the first major patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and it will address over 1,800 issues, including the first iteration of the A-Life fixes.

We understand that the size of the patch is huge and the process of downloading will take some time. We would like to thank you for your understanding, and we will work on this aspect as well.

We plan to test STALKERe 2’s 1.1 update later today and see how much game performance has improved. Hopefully, the game will be much less CPU-bound on PC in NPC-heavy areas. Our original STALKER 2 PC performance review and optimisation guide is available to read here.

STALKER 2’s full release notes for update 1.1 are available to read here. Further updates for STALKER 2 are in the works, as is a PlayStation 5 version.
