Spider-Man: Miles Morales will have a 4K/60FPS “Performance Mode” on PlayStation 5
At this time, it is unclear what changed will be present between Spider-Man’s standard 30 FPS mode and 60 FPS “Performance Mode”. It is likely that Spider-Man’s performance mode will rely on dynamic resolution scaling to help deliver a solid 60 FPS framerate, and utilise the PlayStation 5’s high-speed Zen 2 processors to reach this framerate target on the CPU-side. It is also possible that advanced graphical will be cut from the game to deliver higher framerates, potentially cutting down the game’s ray-traced effects or other high-cost features.Â
Spider-Man: Miles Morales will release on PlayStation 5 when the console launches later this year. The game will be Insomniac’s first game for Sony’s new console. At this time it is unknown of Ratched and Clank: Rift Apart, a future Insomniac Games PS5 release, will be available with a 60 FPS mode.
