Starfield receives a visual boost with the game’s new HD Reworked Project mod

Starfield HD Reworked Project 1.0

Starfield now looks better than ever with the release of Halk Hogan’s HD Reworked Project

Earlier this month, the modder Halk Hogan, the modder behind the legendary HD Reworked Project mods for The Witcher 3, and Cyberpunk 2077, announced that they were working on a new mod for Starfield. This mod aims to improve the visuals of Bethesda’s new sci-fi RPG on PC with higher resolution textures and assets.

Now, version 1.0 of Halk Hogan’s HD Reworked Project is now available. Gamers can expect this mod to have a small performance impact. Halk Hogan recommends users of this mod to have GPU with 6GB of VRAM or more, stating that his mod “only requires a little more video memory (VRAM)” than Starfield’s standard PC version.

Halk Hogan’s prior HD Reworked Projects are must download mods for their respective games. These mods offer gamers enhanced textures that are lore and art direction friendly and incredibly detailed. A version of The Witcher 3’s HD Reworked Project even made it into The Witcher 3’s upgraded current-generation Complete Edition.

Future versions of Starfield’s HD Reworked Project are planned, though these updates will be worked on alongside updates to Halk Hogan’s existing mods for Cyberpunk 2077, and The Witcher 3. Currently, Halk Hogan plans to release his Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0 mod in approximately two weeks.

As you can see in the video, first version bring many various high resolution environment textures but also reworked the entire crowd and some fire effects. Of course it’s just beginning and further updates are planned. You probably didn’t expect such a quick release, I spent a lot of time to release it quickly because CP 2077 HDRP 2.0 is need to available soon. So yes, Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0 should be ready in the next 2 weeks. After that, I’ll come back to The Witcher 3 and give you some fresh news about HDRP NextGen version. Thanks for support and have a nice day! 🙂

Starfield’s HD Reworked Project is available now

Halk Hogan’s HD Reworked Project mod for Starfield is now available to download at Nexus Mods. Halk Hogan promises practically no performance hit with this mod, assuming that you have enough GPU memory to use it. Work on the HD Reworked Project mods for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 will continue despite the release of this new game mod project, so fans of those games can rest assured that they have not been forgotten about.

Based on the video above, Starfield’s HD Reworked Project will dramatically improve the game’s textures in many areas. Version 1.0 of Starfield’s HDRP mod will improve environment textures, faces, and fire effects.

Halk Hogan has stated that they want to maintain good performance with their mod and utilise “reasonable” amounts of memory. So don’t expect to need a 24GB RTX 4090 to use future versions of this Starfield texture mod.
