World War Z VR has been revealed for PC and Meta Quest

Get ready to fight zombies in VR with World War Z VR

Saber Interactive has just unveiled a new VR-only version of World War Z, allowing gamers to experience the zombie apocalypse like never before. This new version of World War Z is a single-player title and will be available on Meta Quest and SteamVR headsets on August 12th.

Players will be able to fight through hordes of Zombies with a squad of AI companions. Up to 200 zombies can be shown on screen at any time, all of which could be charging at you. That’s a scary prospect given this game’s first-person VR viewpoint.

Saber Interactive has transported the gameplay mechanics of World War Z into Virtual Reality, delivering the same strong gameplay to a new format. The game includes map in Tokyo, New York, and Marseille, and contains a huge variety of weapon options.

World War Z’s new Virtual Reality version is now available to pre-order on Steam for £16.49. That’s a low price for a new video game, and its system requirements are on the low side. If you want to run the game on PC, its minimum GPUs are AMD’s RX 580 and Nvidia’s GTX 1060. These are ancient GPUs by today’s standards. Note that Saber Interactive recommend Nvidia’s RTX 3080 and AMD’s RX 6800 XT.
