Ah Armory Crate. How we love thee. All in one place, nothing where you think it’s going to be. It does give us a chance to flex about the system you saw on the previous page. So, yeah. Flex.

Yes we can… what? We can’t adjust the equaliser from here? Okay then.

Speed Meets Simplicity*1, Quick setup*2, No downloads*3.

*1 Setup isn’t simple if you’ve not installed Armory Crate before or plan to use the remote control.
*2 Setup isn’t quick if you count mandatory Armory Crate installation.
*3 Setup requires downloads unless you’ve already installed and updated Armory Crate.

Many built in profiles will get you up and running in moments once you’re here. Let’s be honest, at this point, “what another thing?”, we were just pleased to be here at all. Don’t make us install software only to send us somewhere else. That’s one step away from free-trials that require your credit card information and can only be cancelled via carrier pigeon. A serious issue with the stock 4 profiles is you cant customise them, AT ALL! The one “customise” profile is all you can tinker with and no, you cant add more, rename or remove any profiles either. Its stupidly limited.

If you’re anything like us then you want to be able to fine tune things. Not because the default profiles are lacking. Far from it. Just because all of our ears are different, and as we age, what we can hear changes too. With our room we have to take 6 dB off the subwoofer to balance things out. That’s how good it can be. We still get all the chest reverberations you desire, without it feeling like our heartbeat is changing.
