Up Close

Naturally earbuds aren’t the most complex things in the world, so our look in more detail will be brief. However, just because they aren’t RGB lit, adjustable headband, retractable microphones and all those things that we’d expect to see on a headset doesn’t mean that Cooler Master have scrimped on the packaging.

The packaging has a magnetic flap so you can see what you’re getting in advance, but of course we have the luxury of being able to remove them from the packaging and really get a good look at the quality of the cut-outs and attention to detail that has gone into the MH703 packaging. You don’t get this level of exactness on most earbuds.

Within the carry case we find a splitter that enables you to plug them into anything that has a 3.5mm jack slot, your keyboard for example, whilst the main cable has a four pole jack. It’s also equipped with a full set of different sized rubber covers, so no matter whether you’ve got huge or tiny tunnels in your ears you will be able to find a fit that suits.

The in-line remote and microphone combination supports the now standard three click system to go back and forth through your media, whilst also containing the microphone.

On the back of the earbuds we find Cooler Master logo in its subtle purple, whilst you can also see how carefully weaved the braiding on the cable is. This also has a side benefit of making the MH703 much more resistant to tangling.

Lastly the jack is angled. If you’ve ever struggled to fit your phone and headphones into a pocket, or been annoyed at how a straight cable pokes out, you’ll be pleased with this choice to angle the jack. It also greatly reduces the strain on the input itself, hugely improving the life span of your input hole.
