More than a forum, we’re a family!
Conclusion
Â
So there we have it, a story of friendship and charity. Â A story that resonates in my mind of the generosity and dedication of a lot of OC3D’s members. Â Every day I log into the forums and see someone taking the time to help someone troubleshoot a problem, offer support or just get involved and show an interest in what everyone is doing. Â Many may seem to go unnoticed, but we do see it and appreciate the time and effort that all our members put in.
It is not very often that you get a chance to read about something that shows there is so much more than work and trying to get through the grind of life. More often than not we are surrounded by stories of how society is falling apart and that people only think of themselves, this is one of those occasions that shows the often overshadowed side of humanity and care that exists outside of the holiday season.
Every time I think about the generosity of SparkleDJackson, WYP and TTL, it reminds me that OC3D is more than just a collection of PC enthusiasts who like to discuss everything from the latest CPU technology through to their passions beyond the tech world. We have become a group of friends, from the members of yesteryear to the newest recruits. I like to consider OC3D as my home from home, more importantly, we strive to be a family!
It is that very philosophy that has created the opportunities for stories such as this.
With that, great thanks goes out to all our members, new and old for making the family at OC3D what it is. Â We may not all see eye to eye on every subject, but that is what it is all about, differences. Â The differences that bring everyone into a thread, news article or review. Â The differences that keep us grounded. Â Yes, sometimes those differences can raise a few eyebrows, but that is what being a family is all about.
Maybe I am being overly dramatic to some that will read this, but I hope that it will ring true for just as many. Â To me OC3D is family and OC3D is a piece of my life I can take anywhere and feel at home.
You can find the thread HERE with further updates on Aaron and his new system. I truly hope everyone gets the time to go and have a look and share their thoughts on this act of kindness and generosity.
