Anidees AI5S Case Review

Up Close:  Interior

We’re still looking at this case and not quite believing that it can take a full size ATX motherboard.  Seriously?  Where?  OK so appreciating that it can, what else do we have?  Well, although there’s a distinct absence of rubber grommeted management holes, there is a rather nice angled baffle over to the right, which should do the same job just as well, but in a slightly different way.

The front of the case has room for 2x140mm fans, or 3x120mm fans.  Out of the box you get a pair of 120mm units, which is more than generous for a case at this price point.  The observant among you though will have spotted the elongated slots for fan and radiator mounting…What joys await!!!

The base of the case has a full length false floor, with just the slightest cut out for a 25mm thick fan.  Having slagged off cases that stop short of full width floors, we have to say we’re in favour of the full length option, and are willing to forgive the slight cut out for an additional fan.  For those of you who like to “flash your drives”, the false floor has a pair of show off mounts for both 2.5″ and 3.5″ drives.

the rear is a pretty standard affair, with eight vented PCI slot covers and a crystal 120mm fan above, with slots for a 140mm unit.

A glance into the roof gives us a bit more of an inkling as to the water cooling credentials of this case.  We might be mistaken, but those look an hell of a lot like slotted stand off mounts for 240 and 280mm rads.
