Up close with the Light Base 900 FX

Let’s start by looking at the front I/O of the Light Base 900. Note that this case has its front I/O in the middle of the case. This makes this case’s front I/O options equally accessible in all of this case’s three configurations.

At the front of this case, we have a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and a combined HD audio in/out jack. Additionally, there is an ARGB controller button, a reset button, and a power button.

At the base of this case, we have four rings of ARGB LEDs. As mentioned before, this case gives the case a Tron-like aesthetic and helps to differentiate this be quiet case from its peers.

Below, we can see one of the Light Base 900’s removable feet and a rubber-covered section where this case’s feet could be attached.

Here is the Light Loop 900 FX in its horizontal configuration. This layout gives users a great look inside this PC case and the hardware within.

Dual-chambered design

Like many modern PC cases, the Light Base 900 features a dual-chambered design. Below, we can see that the entirety of the right-side panel of this case is perforated. This allows air to pass through for this case’s three pre-installed intake fans and the user’s power supply.

Once we take off this case’s side panel, we can see its PSU mount and mounting locations for several 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives. Note that the PSU covers the rear of your motherboard’s CPU socket, making CPU cooler replacement difficult. To change your CPU cooler’s backplate, users will need to remove their PSU, or their motherboard. Neither option is easy…

This case has plenty of room for cable management, even if you are using a longer-than-normal power supply.

Note that at the base of this case, there is a fan/RGB controller that can control up to five fans and RGB lighting elements.

Another fan/RGB controller is at the top of this case, allowing more RGB elements to be controlled.

Support for large components

Up to a 420 mm liquid cooling radiator is supported at the top and bottom of this case. Below, we have installed a 360mm liquid cooling solution inside it.

This case supports motherboards that are up to E-ATX or XL-ATX in size. This means that practically all modern PC motherboards can be installed inside of this case with ease.

Below, we can see an RTX 4090 GPU sit inside of this case comfortably. Note that GPUs up to 495mm long can fit inside of this PC case. Regardless of what GPU you choose, it will fit inside this case.

At the base of this case we have a removable GPU support bracket, which can be moved/oriented to support most modern graphics cards. This can prevent GPU sag, and can even be used to help support vertically mounted graphics cards.
