Meet the be quiet Pure Base 501 Airflow
Measuring in at 463mm x 450mm x 231mm, be quiet’s new Pure Base 501 is on the compact side of the mainstream PC case spectrum. While it is small, it is well-designed and can fit a lot of hardware inside. All ATX motherboards will fit, as will GPUs up to 368mm long.
While we are reviewing this case’s airflow model, we will note that a standard “quiet” model is also available. It features a side panel with fewer perforations and a flat front. This design change reduces airflow but prevents more noise from exiting your system. The airflow versions of this PC case are available in black and white. These models are also available with and without a side panel window.
Vertical GPU Mount
Out of the box, this PC case comes with a free vertical GPU mount. Note that users of this case will only receive mounting hardware. You will need to add your own PCIe riser cable. The vertical GPU mount for this PC case is an elegant solution that uses custom PCIe slot covers to create vertical GPU mounts.
Screws and accessories
The Pure Base 501 ships with two Pure Wings 3 140mm fans, vertical GPU mounting hardware, a range of cable ties, and all the screws that users should need. To use this case, all you will need is a screwdriver.
Pricing
In the UK, the Pure Base 501 series starts at £79.99 for the standard black version. If you want the airflow model, it will cost you £5 more than the standard “quiet” version, and if you want the Airflow Window model, it will cost £15 more. White models of the 501 cost £5 more than their black counterparts.
