Corsair Carbide SPEC-06 RGB Review

Corsair Carbide SPEC-06 RGB Review

Conclusion

Sometimes we receive products that are barely worth looking at, where its benefits are outweighed by factors such as overly high pricing, a lack of expected features of other design quirks that leave a negative impression upon us. With the Corsair Carbide SPEC-06 RGB, we find none of these issues, in fact, there isn’t much that we can say that’s bad about the enclosure.

The worst thing that we can say about the SPEC-06 is that is is, for the most part, a redesigned Carbide 275R. The internal layout is almost identical, and the main design differences can be seen on the case’s front panel, with the addition of LED illumination and several other design tweaks. In many ways, the SPEC-06 is a fancy 275R, with RGB illumination and a less minimalistic aesthetic.

While some could complain about Corsair rehashing their old case designs, it is hard to argue that the SPEC-06 is a lesser case because of it. The Carbide 275R is a great case, and now the SPEC-06 offers those same features with several minor design tweaks, and the addition static of RGB LED illumination on the front of the enclosure.

The SPEC-06 does a lot of the little things right, like offering a larger gap for airflow at the front of the case than the 275R, while also offering buyers the choice to use either thumbscrews or Allen bolts (the case includes an Allen key) to fasten their system’s tempered glass side panel to the chassis.
