DeepCool Assassin IV White CPU Cooler Review
Conclusion & Video – The Assassin IV is an excellent heatsink, and it looks great in white
Conclusion – This is the best white air-cooler on the market
DeepCool’s Assassin IV’s the best air-based CPU heatsink that we had ever tested. That was true when we tested their original black model, and remains true today with its white edition. Honestly, our review could end there. There is not much that we can say about this new white model that we didn’t say about its black version.
Before now, if you asked us what the best performing white CPU heatsink was, we didn’t have a good answer for you. Not many CPU coolers have both white models. Usually, purchasers of white hardware need to make performance sacrifices when building all-white PCs. Simply put, the “best heatsink” isn’t often available in white. That changes thanks to the DeepCool Assassin IV White.
Visually, we must say that the Assassin IV looks great in white. While we would have preferred this heatsink’s fans to also be pure white, they aren’t very visible on this heatsink. That means that the light grey fans are basically a non-issue for white component purists. All you need to know is that this is a great looking and great performing CPU heatsink.

Deepcool’s Assassin IV is an excellent heatsink
DeepCool’s Assassin 4 is fantastic. Even the quickest of glances at our heatsink performance charts will prove that. At its highest fan RPMs, the cooler remains fairly quiet, and the only cooling solutions that were able to surpass it on our test rig were 360mm liquid coolers. None of these coolers were able to best the Assassin IV by more than three degrees. That’s an incredible result for an air-based CPU cooler.
For its thermal performance alone, DeepCool’s Assassin IV CPU cooler is more than deserving of the OC3D’s Performance Award. Now that this heatsink is available in white, it can now cater to the needs of anyone working on a clean all-white or winter themed PC builds. We love the Assassin IV, and we look forward to seeing what DeepCool’s heatsink division has coming next.
