HAVN BF 360 Flow PC Case Review
Conclusion
Great airflow, classic styling – The HAVN BF 360 is performant and understated
If you’re looking for a PC case with an understated design and strong airflow, the HAVN BF 360 should be high on your list of PC case options. While panoramic glass seems to be the popular thing right now, there is no shortage of PC builders who want their PC to look like a PC. If you want an aquarium-style PC, HAVN has its HS 420. If you want something more traditional, the BF 360 is more than worth considering.
In terms of value, the BF 360’s “Flow” version offers much better value than its standard counterpart. For £30 more, it ships with two 180mm fans included and one 140mm fan included. This configuration is ideal for users of all-in-one liquid cooling solutions, filling all fan slots except those at the top of the case. When HAVN’s H18 180mm fans cost £25 standalone, £30 for two of them, and a 140mm fan is a great deal. However, we don’t like the fact that the BF 360 doesn’t ship with an alternative fan mount for front-mounted three 120mm/140mm fans. That said, when you have two 180mm fans, why would you want to use something different?
If there is one thing I can say about the BF 360 Flow, it’s that everything is well thought out. It is clear that HAVN’s hardware team is a team of real hardware enthusiasts. This case was easy to build in, and it had all the features that I could reasonably ask for. While I could complain about this case’s lack of back-connect (ASUS BTF, MSI PZ etc) motherboard support, it’s worth remembering that the vast majority of DIY PC motherboards are standard ATX.
Excellent airflow
Thermally, the BF 360 Flow stands amongst the best PC cases that we have ever tested. It stands beside giants like the Fractal Torrent and the NZXT H9. HAVN should be proud of what they have achieved here. This is HAVN’s second PC case, and it delivers some of the best thermal results in the industry. Established PC brands should be worried. A newcomer has arrived, and they are here to shake things up.
Regarding HAVN’s new H-series fans, I believe the performance of the HAVN BF 360 Flow case speaks for itself. Case design can only go so far. Good fans are also needed to produce strong thermals. This case’s front-mounted H18 (180mm) fans can push a lot of air. The same is true for its H14 (140mm fans).
HAVN are going places
Some new brands start with strong ambitions and fail to deliver. HAVN entered the PC market with a clear goal, and they executed it. The BF 360 is a case design that has clearly been refined. HAVN didn’t rush this case to market, and it didn’t need to push all of the latest PC trends. This case has no RGB; it has minimal glass. This PC case looks like a PC case, and it delivers excellent airflow. No gimmicks, just elegance and performance.
When considering what award to give this case, our Performance and Enthusiast Grade awards came to mind. Typically, we give cases one award, but this case deserves both. The HAVN BF 360 is a case designed by PC enthusiasts for PC enthusiasts. It is also a case that delivers some of the best thermals in the industry. That’s a big achievement for a new brand. HAVN has left us impressed, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they do next.
