RGB – How it works, can it be integrated into existing RGB packages

When powered on, the ORCUS’ RGB functionality is a real sight to behold, especially on the unit’s CPU block, where it is complemented by the unit’s flow indicator, creating a mesmerising spinning motion (you will understand if you watch our preview video).

Using the unit’s RGB controller, users can choose between static, breathing or flashing colours across the RGB spectrum, with separate controls for brightness and the speed of any selected lighting mode. Additional control options are available when used with RGB software solution like ASUS Aura, though these functions will work with any other software utility that supports 4-pin RGB headers.

Please note that Raigintek’s RGB lighting can only be controlled by software or through the supplied remote control, not both, with the unit containing a switch which can toggle the controller between both modes. Raijintek’s control unit can be used to control up to eight RGB devices, including fans, the ORCUS’ pump, and LED strips. The controller supports anything that can make use of its 4-pin RGB headers.

In practice, both the block and fans offer similar levels of illumination and identical colouring, though this is not conveyed well on photographs.
