Raijintek ORCUS RGB 240mm AIO Preview

Conclusion  

Raijintek’s ORCUS series of AIOs offer users a lot of options without an excessive price tag, providing support for most modern CPU sockets and a range of 3rd party RGB control solutions. This open RGB design is a refreshing change from the closed software control solutions that are offered by many other AIO manufacturers. 

What we have here is an all-in-one design which is pretty unique in today’s market, providing users with the option to refill their unit while also allowing budget builders to purchase it with or without bundled fans. This option provides consumers with the ability to use their own fan with this cooler to save money, which is a nice trait that budget builders will no doubt exploit. 

Purchasers of the Raijintek ORCUS Core will also receive the company’s RGB controller, despite the fact that the unit doesn’t ship with RGB fans, offering the same level of control for the RGB CPU block as the more costly RGB model. This low-cost option provides Core users with a lot of potential RGB upgrade options, as seven 4-pin RGB slots are left unoccupied on the unit’s included controller. 

Right now we have not conducted any thermal testing on this unit, which means that we cannot talk about performance here. From a visual perspective, however, the ORCUS can offer an incredibly pleasing light show, controllable with the push of a button if the user desires. It is nice to see RGB lighting make its way down to more affordable AIO liquid coolers, with the ORCUS RGB costing less than £100 at Overclockers UK. 

From what we can see today the Raijintek ORCUS RGB seems to offer a lot of value, especially if the user is interested in creating an RGB illuminated PC, delivering a 240mm AIO, three RGB enabled pieces (Pump Two Fans) and a lot of room to expand their RGB setup in the future. 

Further testing of this unit will be conducted in the near future, so expect to see a review in the coming weeks, complete with testing on both stock and overclocked CPUs.
