Ultimate Customisability! – Lian Li O11D EVO XL Review
A closer look at the O11D EVO XL
One of the main selling points of Lian Li’s O11D EVO XL case is its support for a huge number of liquid cooling components. This case can support up to three 420mm (3x 140mm) radiators simultaneously, giving users of this case plenty of cooling potential for heavy overclocking. The Lian Li O11D EVO XL supports enough radiator space to create a system that is, franky, overkill. This is great news for PC builders who want low system thermals, and those who want to run their fans at whisper quiet speeds.Â
Within the Lian Li O11D EVO XL is a GPU support bracket that is designed to prevent GPU sag and to make your system as aesthetically pleasing as possible.  Â
I/O-wise, the Lian Li OllD EVO features four USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a single USB 3.1 Type-C port in addition to a single 3.5-inch Audio/Mic jack. This I/O section of the OllD EVO XL can be moved to various locations across the chassis, keeping these ports within easy reach of users.
Storage-wide, the Lian Li O11D EVO XL supports up to seven 2.5-inch SSDs or up to four 3.5-inch HDDs and three 2.5-inch SSDs. If you don’t want to use this type of storage within your system, you can choose to remove this case’s HDD/SSD cages to give you space to mount other pieces of hardware.Â
If you remove this case’s bottom HDD bracket, users of the O11D EVO XL have a great mounting location for a D5 pump. This allows users to hide the pump of their liquid cooled system within an area of the case that will not be seen regulatly.Â
For cable management, Lian Li has given users of their O11D EVO XL case plenty of custom cable routing options by including with the case several movable cable routing brackets. This allows users of this case to support or route their cables however they want.Â
One optional accessory for Lian Li’s O11D EVO XL is its upright GPU bracket, which can be used to install a graphics card on this case’s side-mounted radiator bracket. This allows users to mount their GPU in a way that is uncommon, giving their PC a distinct look and a highly custom feel. A standard vertical GPU mount is also available for this case.
