In the x265 encoding benchmark the extra clock speed of the overclocked Ryzen 5 2600 very nearly overcomes the core deficit to the stock Ryzen 7 2700, whilst the overclock on our Ryzen 7 2700 not only scores higher than the Ryzen 7 2700X but gets darn close to a stock Threadripper.
