ASUS ProArt X570-Creator WiFi Review
You would imagine that everyone who buys a computer desires it to have the same abilities. We want high gaming performance, fast clock speeds, massive bandwidth, all the good stuff.
In actuality the needs of gamers are very different to the needs of creatives. Although games demand fantastic peak performance, in general they are used in shorter bursts. When you’re rendering a lengthy video or 3D sequence then you need it to be as quick as possible because time is money, but way more important is that it is consistent and reliable in the delivery of that performance. There is no point in getting to 90% of a render only for everything to fall over and you have to start again.
The ASUS ProArt range has always been aimed at creative types, but with the X570-Creator WiFi ASUS have applied those needs in motherboard form, with huge bandwidth connectivity options in both networking and storage terms. That isn’t to say it’s not a gaming motherboard – they’re all well-rounded these days – but simply that where possible they have aimed it more for those of you who are creators first and foremost. Let’s give it a look before finding out how good it is at these creative tasks.
