If you’ve ever been around the posher parts of a big city it is easy to come away with the feeling that gold colouring is very gaudy and tasteless. Nobody ever saw a gold-plated Bugatti or a throne and felt it was classy. However, when used sparingly it is very effective at adding a tiny bit of class to procedings and the ProArt box is a great example of this.

This tasteful aesthetic continues on to the PCB itself. Primarily black, but with echoes of the packaging on the heatsinks and IO section. We like the stylised ProArt logo appearing on the transluscent IO cover too.

Reliability is the watchword here, and to this end the ProArt has the ASUS ProCool II connector for the main 8pin ATX power input. The 4pin hasn’t got the bracing, which is odd.

At the top right we find the many pump and fan headers that allow you to keep your CPU cool even under the heavy, lengthy loading that is part of the creative experience. There are concessions to modern users too with the ARGB/RGB LED strip headers in their usual place.

Moving down we have another fan header and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C front panel connector for speedy data transfer.
