There are a lot of different approaches to the power stage of the X870 motherboards. Clearly all of them are more than capable of running our Ryzen 9 9900X. Similarly none of them are insanely hot. But a few degrees can affect the thermal headroom for overclocking, or even just heat soak into your rig. Even with our AMD CPU overclocked until it squeals, the ASUS Crosshair Glacial merrily strolls along at a mere 61°C.
