ASUS TUF Gaming X870-Plus WiFi Preview
Introduction and Technical Specifications
Introduction
The latest addition to the ASUS TUF Gaming range is their X870-Plus WiFi. Unlike some of the more expensive X870E motherboards we’ve looked at, the TUF has the same regular X870 chipset that we’ve also seen on some other PCBs. The Strix-A for example.
We’ve already taken a long look at the AMD Ryzen 9000 range of processors. If the first generation were good, then every one since the 3000 range has been excellent. This is the fourth generation where AMD products are legitimately great. Naturally many people want to get on board the AMD train. With the 9000X3D models very much the hot ticket, so much so that the next shipment isn’t expected to land until the new year, it’s the perfect time to get ready for when they land.
That’s where today’s preview comes in. Boasting the X870 chipset, plenty of M.2 slots and lots of USB connectivity, it is the perfect blend of price and features. Performance we’ll discover down the road. For now, grab a mince pie from the cupboard full of forbidden food and let’s rock through what the newest ASUS TUF motherboard is bringing to the party.
