ASUS Z170 Maximus VIII Formula Review

Test Setup

ASUS Maximus VIII Formula
Intel Core i7-6700K
2666MHz Corsair LPX
3600MHz Dominator Platinum
nVidia GTX980
Corsair RM1000i
Corsair Neutron GTX
Corsair H110i GT
Windows 10

Overclocking

ASUS have never exactly been poor when it comes to overclocking, and their Z170 range is amongst the very best on the market. The Formula continues the, ahem, formula by providing fantastically easy overclocking thanks to the always friendly UEFI, with results that bear fruit in benchmark scores almost immediately. For our overclocking benchmarks today we've got the Formula pushing our i7-6700K to 4.8GHz with 3600MHz DDR4, take note of the 200MHz base clock here boys and girls. Should be good.

I already have the remote and everything. (I recently set up my room to have RGB LEDs behind the desks)

I need my PC to match.

HI

Dammit! Now I want to make the TTL white gold rig. VIII Formula in my H440 that's just sitting in the closet. I have not had a reason to go to Z170 yet, however this one is going to be a $400 hole in my pocket ($399 pre order on newegg)

Epic review Tom. Your excitement is palpable for good reason.
