The Aorus packaging is now as familiar as any other famous hardware brand, with what we consider to be the screaming eagle large and in charge on the front, allied to the orange lettering that lets you know which model this is. On the reverse all the key features are easily found without resorting to miniscule fonts to cram it all on. Most of us only care about how much we can plug into a motherboard and how fast it will go when we do, and the Aorus Master ticks those boxes in feature terms.

Inside the box we have the clearly written manual and driver CD as well as a healthy collection of cables. First up the SATA ones which are such a feature of every motherboard box on earth that we think the people who makes the cardboard for the box probably include them without being told to.

Monitoring your temperatures is key to keeping a healthy system and the B550 Aorus Master has two thermistor cables letting you keep a close eye on those points where heat might build up in your case.

No RGB LED strip comes with enough cable unless you’re running your system in an HTPC chassis, so the inclusion of some extension cables is always welcome. Here they are in plain RGB and Addressable formats.

WiFi without antenna is pointless, so having the Aorus standard design antenna included is very nice too. It’s funny how, in a world determined to bring unique and easily recognisable designs everyone has agreed that this is the shape WiFi antennae should be.
