Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master Review

Introduction

All of the main manufacturers have motherboards which could be accurately labelled as a flagship model. There are motherboards which are perfect for those on a budget, and ones for those who want extra features. Above those are the flagship models which generally make less financial sense, but instead are purchased like a fine watch. Yes a Casio would also tell the time, but why not have a Patek Philippe?

One area where AMD really makes the purchase of a flagship motherboard easier to digest is their longevity. Intel change their motherboards like most of us change our socks. AMD, whilst chipset upgrades do exist, stick to a socket for long enough that buying a flagship can work out to be financially prudent in the long run. The last Aorus Master we reviewed on the AM5 platform was the X670E. Today we’ve got the X870E Aorus Master for your perusal, which perfectly matches our flagship musings.

A massive power stage, plenty of M.2 slots and all the USB you could desire, it has an awful lot to recommend it. Read on Macduff.
