We’re sticking to using the Core i9-11900K and its Adaptive Boost Technology overclocking to see how much can be squeezed from the pairing without any user input. This is the last of our Z590 reviews too, so we’ve got lots of data to compare the Aorus Pro AX to.

Clock Speeds

No your eyes are not deceiving you. Run the default BIOS settings on the Aorus Pro AX and it’s more than happy to dump 1.5v through your highly prized new Core i9 CPU. There are, to put it mildly, issues with this from a temperature standpoint. As we’re about to discover though, if you can tame it long enough to survive a run, there is a lot of underlying potential. Better to show than tell though so let’s bring you some graphs.
