Before we start we have to remind you that the Threadripper RT in our graph is the retail sample at stock, and the overclocked Threadripper result is an early sample which have proven to be far superior at overclocking when compared to those that hit the street.

Even with that said the i9-7980XE comfortably bests it at stock and the overclocked result is on another planet. A great start, will the i9-7980XE continue to show this promise?
