The scores we saw from the Threadripper in Blender were so fantastic we nearly fell off our chairs and certainly didn’t expect anything to get near to them for a while. More fool us. The stock i9-7980XE matches the overclocked Threadripper and the overclocked i9-7980XE is capable of running both tests before the Threadripper has run the 4K test alone, and still have a minute left over to twiddle your thumbs. Ludicrous.
