Intel Arrow Lake Ultra 200S CPU Review

CPU Temperatures

Our CPU temperature testing is a juxtaposition between best and worst case scenarios. We run a seriously heavyweight CPU cooler, which shows the best use case, and then torture the system for 30 minutes to get our peak reading. Otherwise known as the worst case scenario. For the 14th Gen Intel we’d tweaked the voltage as out of the box they’re incredibly toasty.

In fact that toasty nature is exactly what the more efficient Core Ultra processors are aiming to resolve. Clearly, without a shadow of a doubt, Intel’s efforts in this area have seen their just reward. Both the Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 are below 70°C, and the Ultra 9, whilst hitting 79°C, is still miles cooler than either the 13th or 14th generation of Intel processors. Nicely done.
