Efficiency is the cornerstone of the new Arrow Lake processors. It would have been easy for Intel to continue down the path of ever more performance. However, stopping for a moment to fix the power draw and temperatures can only pay dividends down the road. As you can clearly see, those design efforts haven’t been wasted, although it’s odd that the Ultra 9 285K demands more than the Ryzen 9 9950X.
