MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk Max Review
Introduction and Technical Specifications
Introduction
If you’ve been following along with us for any length of time you’ll be aware of the MSI Tomahawk. As part of their MAG range it sits at the more affordable end of their price spectrum. However, just because it’s more affordable than the Godlike – although what isn’t? – doesn’t mean that you’re giving up on performance or connectivity.
We’ve seen plenty of versions and generally loved them all. From B chipset models to BTF options. It appears that if there is a niché in the market, MSI will fill it with a Tomahawk. Not a bad thing to do. Even those of you with a passing interest in PC Hardware will know how hugely popular AMDs Ryzen X3D processors are. By managing to squeeze a model that fits many pockets and requirements you’re free to balance the capability of your motherboard with that of your processor.
Today then is the newest addition, the X870E Tomahawk Max. With enough connectivity to keep even the most peripheral rich user happy, as well as lots of bandwidth for our demanding graphics cards and fast M.2 storage solutions, the Tomahawk promises to be all things to all people. Let’s find out.
