If you’ve been following along our various reviews of the new RX 6×00 cards then the packaging and card design will be very familiar to you. It’s certainly striking, ignoring everything except a close up of the cooler. None of the ‘squares of tech’ that adorn many cards. You know what we mean, “this has RGB, this is an AMD product etc”.

  
  

We’ve seen a few different colours on the Radeon logo itself across their various cards and the RX 6700 XT goes with the most on-brand red. If you’ve been bemoaning the move towards all black cards, or heavy RGB, then the AMD take on the new card will be right up your alley.

  

The cooler is very familiar by now and we’re big fans of the two tone looks. The giant R in the middle does make the RX 6700 XT look like a superhero, so we can’t wait to find out if it performs like one.

  

The power is provided by a 8+6 PCIe solution, something that is flexible enough – note those blanked off extra holes – for more performance orientated manufacturers to go 8+8.

  

The RX 6700 XT follows the familiar AMD trend of having three DisplayPorts and one HDMI for your connectivity options. Do any of the partner cards change this? Onwards!
