XFX RX 6700 XT 319 MERC

XFX are stalwarts of the Radeon brand of graphics cards, having been a main partner since the year dot. When we were testing the RX 6800 XT cards we got to test one of their 319 range of cards and were blown away, so we knew we had to get one in to test for the RX 6700 XT launch.

The cooler for the XFX MERC is lovely and curved on the edges and with three fans, a central 92 and two 80s on the outside the GPU should get plenty of air.

Around the back we find a lot of vent holes and cutouts alongside the huge MERC branding. It’s certainly the got the largest through-flow of any of the three RX 6700 XTs we’re reviewing today, more in keeping with the RX 6800 XT.

This side shot really shows how the XFX card is built like a sandwhich, with the backplate, PCB, Heatsink and fan shroud all forming seperate layers.

Speaking of the side view, the heatsink on the MERC is the biggest of the three we have on test, split into two sections with the GPU on the left hand half of the main fan, sitting beneath direct touch heatpipes.

Unlike the Gigabyte and AMD cards the 319 goes with two 8pin PCIe power inputs which should give you a little more power input for any overclocking efforts you wish to undertake.

Lastly the XFX reverts to the display options we saw on the AMD card with three DisplayPorts surrounding a single HDMI. Those of you who like as much branding as possible will enjoy the XFX logo cut into the bracket.
