Introduction

The release of the RTX 2060 proved that there is still an enormous market for cards which can do everything you desire at regular resolutions, whilst also bringing some image quality improvements to the table and all at a reasonable price.

However popular the nVidia’s own cards might be, particularly amongst those who plan to install a water block, for the majority of potential owners the real attractive options are always the partner cards. With better cooling and usually a factory overclock to go along with some detail changes and a good package it’s clear why people are happy to spend a little extra to get something with more bells and whistles.

The ASUS ROG Strix range has been a big seller since it first appeared and it has always been a design philosophy best applied to graphics cards. Thus it was to nobodies great surprise that this new mainstream RTX 2060 saw a Strix version, and that’s what we have in for review today.

Technical Specifications

The specifications of the PCB element to the Strix RTX 2060 is very much in keeping with the nVidia blueprint. As you can see from the second picture though the cooling has been significantly boosted when compared to the nVidia model, and the inclusion of the ROG Strix trademark elements of AURA Sync lighting, Fan Connect and RGB LED Strip headers bring it up to par with the rest of the ASUS RTX range of cards.
