Test Setup

The RTX 2060 is a card that is all about its ability to pump out smooth frame-rates at the popular 1920×1080 resolution and thus we’re sorting our graphs by the 1080P result instead of 4K.

Overclocking

There is plenty of thermal and power headroom on the Strix, enabling you to push it even further than the already impressive ‘out of the box’ clock speed. Of course nVidia’s GPU Boost technology will always make the most of every ounce of spare heat and power to push the card as hard as possible. Looking at the graph below you can see how closely the ASUS Strix RTX 2060 keeps its average boost clock speed to its peak speed, with the manually overclocked setup losing only 1% of clock speed on average compared to the maximum boost. Hugely impressive.
