3DMARK Port Royal

Intel ARC B580 Review

3DMARK Port Royal

After the famous Star Wars elevator, Port Royal was of the first titles to show us ray-tracing and still utterly gorgeous. It’s taxing, but unlike a lot of titles it’s very obvious where your GPU clock cycles are being spent. We might prefer Speed Way, but Port Royal is the granddaddy.

3DMARK Speed Way

Naturally as we move towards newer that involve the GPU more the stakes get raised. The heavy ray-tracing in Speed Way is perfect for comparing to the newest titles. It’s absolutely gorgeous. If you’ve a setup remotely capable of running ray-tracing we recommend you look at it, if only to wonder why only a handful of titles look remotely as gorgeous. It’s also, like Steel Nomad, the 3DMARK benchmark we most want to play.
