If you’ve been following the MSI Gaming range for any length of time then the slides below will be familiar to you. This is the Twin Frozr VI with all the pros and cons that it entails. So we have two high performance fans that can run in passive mode for low usage scenarios and yet shift huge volumes of air when necessary. They sit atop a serious chunk of aluminium with a good fin density to help keep things under control. All very positive.

The shroud has aged less well. We weren’t overly keen on it when we first saw it, largely thanks to the underwhelming lighting and small MSI side logo, and time hasn’t been kind to it with so many manufacturers really pushing the boat out the black and red aesthetic no longer cuts a swathe through the competition like it once did. This is doubly irritating when even MSI themselves have adopted the neutral motherboard with RGB lighting that is the current fashion.
