One of the cool things about MSI is their willingness to accept returns of cards that you have removed the cooler from. As long as the removal and attachment process wasn’t the reason you’re RMA’ing it of course. This means we can pull it apart and show you what is going on under the skin. What mainly seems to be going on is a over-zealous application of thermal paste. With a bit of cleaning and a more judicious application of our own compound we managed to lower the temperatures by 4°C, which is not an inconsiderable amount. With a card this expensive you’d hope everything was perfect. However, the quality of the Twin Frozr VI design, whatever you may think of the aesthetics, is wonderful and you can be confident that your card will last a lifetime.
