If you came into Avatar thinking it was just a transplanted version of Pocahontas with blue aliens instead of indigenous peoples, well done. Yay for another tiresome white saviour plot. In keeping with the blandest premise for a film, Avatar : Frontiers of Pandora is an open world crafting survival traversal title. In other words it’s Far Cry with blue aliens instead of indigenous peoples. However, just like the film, as a technical showcase it’s beautiful. As this is a new benchmark in our test we’re running at all three resolutions, even if the RTX 4080 Super Expert isn’t really aimed at 1080P.
