Test Setup

The RTX 2060 is a card that is all about its ability to pump out smooth frame-rates at the popular 1920×1080 resolution and thus, for the first time on the RTX cards, we’re sorting our graphs by the 1080P result instead of 4K.

Overclocking and Boost Clocks

The cooler on the RTX 2060 gives you a reasonable amount of headroom with which to play, and the card – as we’ll see in a moment – rewards you pushing it hard. Nvidia’s OC Scanner technology also works very well here, overclocking to the same peak boost clock as we managed with our manual overclock, whilst not being too far away in the overall average clock speed that really determines how smooth your gaming experience will be.
