Nvidia RTX 2060 Review

There is no denying that the Nvidia cards of recent times have really upped their game when in comes to the packaging. Even the RTX 2060, a card which isn’t a flagship four-figure offering, has a lovely box which really lends an air of a quality product.

  

The RTX 2060 is equipped with the same cooler that we found on the RTX 2070. Given that there is a little less horsepower under the hood one expects that this will give even better performance than the RTX 2070, whilst still maintaining the sleek lines and lack of noise that the redesigned Nvidia coolers offer. Anything has to be better than the old blower style.

  
  

As well as looking like some futuristic shades from the side, you can also get a clear look at the all black fin construction of the heatsink. It certainly helps the silver surround ‘pop’ and we would love to see black fins adopted on some of the the all-black partner cards.

  
  

As the mid-range offering the RTX 2060 only requires a single 8 pin PCI Express power input, handy for those of you who prefer the single cable aesthetic whilst also leaving potential for a partner manufacturer to produce a banzai version with extra power available to it.

  

At the business end the RTX 2060 has connectors for every type of display whilst also still having the Type-C connector for your virtual reality headsets. The black branded bracket brings a balanced bearing to the business end, blending beauty with build quality.
