The drivers on modern graphics cards are more willing to cap their performance when you hit thermal limits. This means that, by and large, most cards top out around the 80 degree mark. Power draw is far more important. Thankfully, if the RTX 5090 power requirements worried you, the RTX 5080 is much kinder to your energy bill. Despite being faster throughout our testing the Palit RTX 5070 Ti GameRock is only 1°C warmer than the MSI and 20W more frugal. Double win.
