Palit RTX 5070 Ti GameRock OC Review
Introduction and Technical Specifications
Introduction
For quite a few generations now the Palit range of GameRock cards has been ticking all the important boxes. They’re all very fast. The GameRock cooler keeps all the temperatures under control without turning into a vacuum cleaner. And, because there are still some crazy people who only pay attention to badges, relatively affordable. Apparently the Palit name hasn’t got the kudos of some others and thus they can’t charge you 5% extra for the letters printed on the side. What this means for consumers is you get a card which goes like a crazily expensive model, for the price of a mid-range offering. Excellent.
The elephant in the room is the design. The GameRock cards might be many things, but hiding their light under a bushel is not one of them. They aren’t stealthy. They’re a full on glitzy spectacle. If the design was any more out there it could be on the red carpet at the Met Gala.
Palit might have felt this too. The 3000 series cards were really wild. With the RTX 4000 cards that was toned down a bit. Now the RTX 5000 range has seen a total redesign with the crystals dispensed in favour of a much subtler design. Well, subtle for Palit anyway. At £769, only £40 more than a base card, the Palit RTX 5070 Ti GameRock OC promises to continue their parade of cards which punch well above their weight. Let’s see if it does.
